Sidebars? Where we’re going we don’t need sidebars.
Here’s an example of a full-width page template. It’s also the default page template if you don’t select another template under the Page Attributes portlet in the page editor.
We would highly recommend going easy on your use of sidebars. 90% of the time, they’re garbage anyway. The other 10% of the time, they have value but they get in the way of viewing the real content of your page on mobile and tablet devices.
For the most part, Bootplate will hide sidebars on any devices smaller than your average laptop (in CSS-speak that’s .hidden-md-down).
You can always change this behavior in CSS or removing those classes in your Child theme.
